Large equipment has to pass CE safety inspection and gain CE certificate before being exported to Europe, especially hydraulic presses which are manually operated. They belong to the category of dangerous machinery, so all the inspections should be carried out strictly according to CE standard. Electric parts, hydraulic parts, mechanical parts and software program need to be checked one by one and only when all of them pass Directive 2006/42/EC can we acquire CE certificate.
Recently, an engineer from Shanghai TUV-SUD had a thorough inspection of our two presses and both passed it. There are three main aspects among the inspection items: the performance of safety components and parts; the alarm information on the touch screen; the grounding of electrical cabinet and the mechanical components.
1. the performance inspection of safety components and parts
The safety components on the press include safety light curtain, scram button, safety door, safety locking mechanism and limit switch, among which, the most important is the safety distance of a light curtain, namely the distance of S in the following picture.
Detailed process: connect a linear transducer to the slider and then cross the light curtain by using a cross-device with limiting speed (2m/s), we will be able to get corresponding displacement and time data on the testing device; cross the light curtain 10 times and select the maximum value to calculate the minimum width of the light curtain, namely the minimum safety space.
2. The alarm information on the touch screen
The engineer checked the PLC signal on the touch screen and see whether they are normal by crossing the light curtain, opening and closing the side door and disconnecting Sitemap.
3. Grounding situation
The engineer inspected the grounding of electrical cabinet, mechanical structural parts, trunking connection by special resistance detecting device.
The inspection of the two presses went well and both comply with CE safety standards.
